The popular Twitch streamer Forsen recently organized a viewer tournament for the highly anticipated Tekken 8, drawing attention for an unexpected twist during the first battle. The competitors in question customized their in-game characters to resemble a controversial Austrian painter from World War II, sparking a mix of reactions from the online community.

Fanbattle Fail

Forsen had hosted a viewer tournament in Tekken 8, where viewers can participate in a fighting tournament bracket. Tekken 8 has a special feature where you can customize the appearance of your character. The tournament, streamed to thousands on Twitch, took an unexpected turn as the first two players have creatively customized their character. The choices raised many eyebrows and gained traction on popular subreddit LivestreamFails.
Comment
Forsen, known for his laid-back and unfiltered approach to streaming, initially seemed caught off guard by the character customizations.
Forsen has been previously banned in 2023 for a week for streaming “dubious” explicit content to his fans, some of whom may be under the age of 18, as most adult websites do not permit minors to view their content. It is unknown whether or not a ban will be handed down to him on Twitch. Currently, it is up for Twitch to decide whether or not he will receive a ban.
In addition, it seems many Forsen-related channels have been banned after streaming copyrighted content in the “Artifact” section of Twitch. It is unknown whether these channels are under possession of Forsen himself.
Tekken 8’s developers have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, leaving fans and critics curious about their stance on in-game character customizations that delve into controversial or offensive territory.
Steam, the digital distribution platform for video games, has also yet to issue an official statement about the issue. It is unknown whether or not Valve will suspend or disable his account due to his actions. In addition, his wife Nina Beahm may possibly suspend his PC and stream if things continue to take a turn. This may also potentially affect his membership in GG Talent Group.
